ABOUT OUR CHIEF SERVANT LEADER
Dr. Cassandra Arnold, a native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti and long-time resident of Miami, FL lives by one motto, “Service is the rent we pay for being. It is the very purpose of life, and not something you do in your spare time.” ― Marian Wright Edelman. Knowing her calling to serve the least and underserved, while working in corporate America, at the age of 22 years old she founded the scholarship foundation and 501c3 non-profit, with a mission to empower young adults with the leadership training and development skills to succeed.
In addition, her foundation provides thousands of dollars in scholarships and mentoring hours to Haitian female students studying business and black female students studying STEM at Florida A&M University; her beloved alma mater. With extensive years in corporate America, she was a very successful Marketing Professional for Caterpillar Inc., a global Fortune corporation and an International Business Developer overseeing, managing, and traveling to over twelve (12) Caribbean countries for an education corporation.
In 2016, she was presented with the opportunity to pursue another passion of hers; community engagement. That summer, Dr. Arnold became Florida’s Haitian-American Coalition Director for the Hillary for America Presidential campaign. After the election, she co-founded a political consulting firm, Diverse Strategy Group; to help Democrat candidates up and down the ballot. Then in 2018, she was asked to become a Statewide Outreach Director for the Haitian and Caribbean Coalition for U.S. Senator Nelson’s re-election campaign. She was later elected that year as the President of the Democratic Haitian American Caucus of Florida; where she has transformed the caucus’ membership, political footprint, and digital presence. During these years, she’s also taught as a Business Adjunct Professor at City College and Barry University.
A big advocate of Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU), Dr. Arnold is a very proud Spring 2004 alumna of Florida A&M University. She continued her studies at the University of Miami, receiving an MBA degree in International Business, and a Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership with a focus on Global Leadership Development in Foreign Markets from Argosy University. She has received several awards, honors and nominations for her leadership and community work, both domestic and international.
